Tech Mahindra Founds Delivery Center in Egypt to Hire 1,000

This Friday, Tech Mahindra, a Leading IT company, signed its MoU with ITIDA, Information Technology Industry Development Agency, to set up its global delivery center in Cairo, Egypt.

With this great investment, Tech Mahindra aims to hire over 1000 employees in the next three years to meet the service needs of global and local customers from this newly established center in Egypt.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Egypt inked an agreement with Tech Mahindra along with 290 MNCs that will create over 34,000 jobs directly in the country. Moreover, it expects that it will establish about 35 global delivery centers with an export amount of $1 billion annually.

On this news, Mr. Talaat, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, said that Egypt has a unique central location between three continents, has high-quality e-infrastructure, and provides the necessary framework to stay ahead of global demand needs. Moreover, it has plenty of tech talent supply who are proficient and experienced enough to complete the tech-driven task in a cost-effective manner.

The newly launched facility in Cairo, Egypt, will handle Tech Mahindra’s various sector clients including BFSI, telecom, energy and utilities, and public sector by AI, big data, cloud, and 5G technology. Tech Mahindra wants to expand its delivery center and invest in helping local talents to upskill and reskill for better productivity.

Tech Mahindra’s Senior Vice President & Head of Middle East and Africa, Mr. Ram Ramachandran, said that Egypt is a great place to get talent and technical skills to improve their service delivery in regional as well as international markets. Egypt is also a key growth market in the MEA region, he added. Therefore, they wish to inaugurate their new delivery facility in Egypt.
