The COVID-19 pandemic has caused considerable losses to humans around the world. It took away the life of millions of people and impacted the worldwide economy badly. I also lost my accountant job due to COVID-19 and faced several challenges. I had not any source of income, and none of the ideal companies was hiring for an accountant role. Many professionals were even working with decreased salary terms.
But I couldn’t work this term because my family is dependent on my earnings. If I do not make a decent income, they can have to compromise in many ways. Thus, I decided to switch my career and started finding an ideal profession to work in.
I love writing, and with my research, I found content writing can also be a lucrative career option. Because many leading brands like MakeMyTrip, CashKaro, Naukari.com, Wipro, and other brands hire content writers. So, they can run excellent content marketing campaigns and reach targeted audiences to convert them into actual customers.
I started looking for a content writing course on YouTube and other digital platforms. I completed a Content Marketing Course from HubSpot, learned SEO writing from YouTube channels, and completed an internship at Acme Collins School.
Trust me; it was not an easy task because switching accounts careers into content marketing requires lots of confidence and motivation. However, I wish my decision was right somehow because, till now, I have worked for over 30 websites, including tech, finance, digital marketing, edu-tech, and eCommerce brands.
I got a chance to work with digital marketing and content marketing agencies. I worked for Web Services, Scalenut, Ekwik Digital, The Finance Point, The Crazy Programmer, and other companies. I even started my personal blog called paisekiyukti, here I keep sharing articles about ways to make money online, career advice, and more.
It was only possible because I worked as a freelance content writer and got opportunities from my online listings. COVID-19 also helped me get work from home or freelance work from such brands. Currently, I’m successfully working as a content writer and providing my writing services. However, I didn’t expect to change my career from an accounting background to content writing.
